Konica Minolta Transfers Its U.S. ERP Solutions Division to Avanue
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. has announced it is divesting its Enterprise Resource Planning business. The company acquired MWA Intelligence, Inc. in 2018 - an SAP Business One partner that developed the Forza ERP platform for the imaging channel - with the goal of equipping dealers with a resource planning platform built for workplace transformation.
Despite growing opportunities for the platform, Konica Minolta determined that narrowing its own focus would better serve its customers going forward. The company selected a partner with deeper technological resources and SAP capabilities to carry the platform into its next chapter.
The transition to Avanue
- Beginning July 1, Konica Minolta's U.S. ERP customers transition to Avanue (operating at the time as Avaniko Technologies), a SAP Business One Gold Partner.
- Avanue specializes in digital transformation for small and midsized office technology and MPS dealers.
- The Forza platform continues development under Avanue, rebuilt around automation, integration, and a connected customer experience.
- Existing dealers keep their SAP Business One foundation - only the roadmap and level of investment behind it changes.
Avanue's focus is on helping dealers improve operations through automation, creating what the company describes as a "seamless experience for all stakeholders" - from the sales floor to the service technician in the field to the customer checking an invoice online.
"We believe Avanue is better staffed and suited to continue the ongoing development of the Forza platform."
- Sam Errigo, President and CEO, Konica Minolta U.S.
In their own words
"Our vision is to transform the imaging vertical with SAP's best practices - we always begin implementations with the end goal clearly in mind."
- Gary Shergill, CEO of Avanue
What it means for dealers
For MPS and office technology dealers already on the platform, the transition brings continuity of the SAP Business One foundation they rely on, paired with renewed investment in the roadmap - from CRM and contract management to warehouse operations, field service, and now AI. It's the same journey the Avanue team has been telling since the rebrand: taking a platform built for the imaging channel and reshaping it into a modern, connected system built with dealer input at its core.
